Any update on his contract dispute?

Wasn't he suppose to have the next shot at the Title?

If Minakov doesn't want to return
Time for Coker to make a "Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix" ?
Would watch the shit out of that

Thought?

Edit : sorry wrong forum I know...

kharitonov was announced to debut on may 14..any news? there is any event these day?

I hope they announce it soon.

Kongo or Mitrione would be perfect.

Sounds about right, but it wouldn't shock me if they try to book Kharitonov vs Josh Burns.

Yep very possible, so they can give Sergei an easy HL reel KO to hype him up a bit.

After it being terrible for a couple of years it actually looks pretty decent at this point. They're younger than the UFC top 10 and theyve all mostly avoided fighting each other up to this point so it will give us a lot of fresh matchups over the next 2 years.

Has their been a Minakov return confirmation aside from that one instagram post?

For HW div outside UFC they have a solid top 6 with Minakov, Kongo, sergei, Meathead, Johnson and Lashley.

After that it does drop off but there are some solid fights to be made.

Op, minakov resolved his disputes with bellator, and will come back. No news on who he is fighting, but the man made it seem like there was a bit of a sense of urgency in his Instagram post

If Sergei is gonna fight in May that probably means they give lashley the next shot since he's a name.

Then probably build Meathead up with a few squash matches.

Maybe Kongo/Johnson gets booked?

Not a horribly bad division like Bellator's 185 and 135 divisions. Those divisions need a ton of work.

I think it was okay for the division to take a break from title fights for two years. When Coker took over, the division only had maybe three possible contenders, Volkov, Kongo, and Ivanov. Nobody wanted to see Volkov or Kongo rematches and Ivanov left for WSOF. In two years, Lashley and Johnson were built up as contenders and Mitrione was signed, blessing in disguise. Hooray for division constipation!

As for matchups, I'd say they should make:
Minakov vs Lashley (HW title)
Kongo vs Kharitonov
Johnson vs Charles/Sakai winner
Mitrione vs Spartan
Butler vs Sosnovskiy

Fuck Kimbo Slice

Lashley probably be back real soon since TNA is having money issues and can't even afford talent to fly out.

I expect more announcements within the next two weeks

Jeez for how thin the hw division is in the world i didnt realize just how deep bellators division is starting to get you stil have. jay avayla, chase gormley, raphael butler, and alex huddleston, and james thompson was looking promising until he lost that rizin bout

I'm with you on 185 but I like 135. It might not have depth but it can give me Caldwell vs dantas, galvao, and lc davis all for thr first time moving forward and i'd be excited for any of those fights.

I just live my life pretending there is not such thing as Heavyweight MMA.

My life is much more enjoyable this way.
