Michael Page's next challenge in Bellator will come in the form of Jeremie Holloway.

Page, who improved to 7-0 in October, has agreed to meet Holloway at Bellator 153 on April 22, MMAFighting.com has learned. The welterweight fight is expected to air on the Spike TV main card.

Page was scheduled to compete at Bellator 151 but withdrew from the card due to undisclosed reasons. He is considered to be one of the rising stars on the Bellator roster.

Holloway (7-1) most recently lost his Bellator debut to Matt Secor via second-round submission.

Bellator 153 will feature the promotional debut on Benson Henderson against Andrey Koreshkov for the Bellator welterweight title, and it will take place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.

Pulled from card last month against toughest opponent that 750k people would see to be booked in a squash match on a card over a million should see.

Cant say its not a smart move given Bellator's model its just hard to give a shit about his fights with the way they book him.

Lol, what a clown. I'm looking forward to see people defend this one.

Does suck. But Gonzalez last win I think probably put him too far ahead of Venom. Least he should fight. With Benson and Andrey plus Ward probably winning another fight and getting a title shot.

It makes some sense. Kos or Daley will get the shot after Ward I'd assume since they got to fight. So probably works out best for Venom to to stay fighting lower guys.

at least give us MVP vs Andy Souwer if you're just going to waste his career bellator

This is just ridiculous. Bellator WW div is stacked as hell and they choose a guy who is comming from a loss against Secor?

If they keep doing this he is eventually going to lose one of these showcase fights and everyone will lose interest in him.

Has MVP come out and asked to be matched with contenders? Or called out an big names? Or ask for a title shot? Honest question, cause I don't recall seeing much said from this guy. I don't think you can keep blaming Bellator, you might have to start blaming MVP, cause he's not asking for big fights or calling anyone out.

While writing this, I did a quick search and found an article stating he feels like he's in cruise control and isn't in a rush to call anyone out. I think you guys need to start shifting blame to MVP.

And what about MVP vs Chidi/Zaromskis/Lima/Bradley (30 seconds last Fight)
It is so hard to Bellator to find a decent opponent?

This guy hardly looks like a can..

Anyone can look good in a highlight, even Giant Silva. This dude has only beaten one fighter with a winning record and the one decent fighter he faced, he lost to. So basically, MVP is fighting a guy who is 0-1 in Bellator.

MVP is a clown. Pulled out of the Gonzalez fight for undisclosed reasons and now he's gonna show up to fight some random dude. I don't think this is bellator fault. They tried last time and MVP just doesn't want tough fights.

It must be nice to be MVP and not have to test yourself. In his point karate league did he fight the best or did he avoid them there too?

i don't know whose fault it is. Venum says a lot of opponents refuse to fight him too so it could go both ways. The top guys don't want to lose to him and only the unknown guys with something to gain will probably take the risk and fight him. That's why I say just throw him in there for a title shot after this fight. If he wins they have a champion that they can push as a star, if he loses it's not a big deal since he lost to the champion and maybe he is more willing to take on any fighter since he doesn't have to protect that 0 anymore and other fighters will be willing to fight him since they know he's beatable.
