So how are we supposed to watch this? 90 minutes of prelims and then a handful of fights mma and joe schilling kickboxing at 8 on Spike? Or are they going to split it up and have a separate bellator kickboxing show like they did a few weeks ago?

Some prelims on the prelims on spike. Then the main Bellator MMA Card. The Kickboxing will be completely separate following the MMA main card.

Main card is scheduled from 8pm -11:15pm ET. Kickboxing is scheduled from 11:15pm ET - 1:15am ET

Oh wow, I'm glad you told me. We're in for a long night. I figured they'd mix it up like the first Dynamite show when they went back and forth between the ring and the cage.

I guess we won't be able to watch postlims because we'll be busy watching the kickboxing.

Question, haven't followed closely but when this match was first announced a like two or three months ago, I know for a fact the Rampage/Ishii fight was supposed to be at 215lbs...why the change? Rampage couldn't make weight and didn't want to pay 20%?

Not sure what happened on the weight issue. Thought it was a catchweight but they're both just at HW weigh in weight. So who knows?

Satoshi Ishii (222.8) vs. Quinton Jackson (224.9)

Edit. Guess it's 225 catch now. Or maybe it always was.

I swear I thought Rampage vs Ishii was originally a 215 catchweight. Now it's a 225 catchweight.

Looks like they're splitting up the MMA and kickboxing cards entirely.

Definitely not. When the fight was first announced back on April 5th, it was to be a 215lb catchweight to supposedly accommodate Ishii.

"MMA Fighting has confirmed the former UFC light heavyweight champion Jackson (36-11) will face Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii in a catchweight bout of 215 pounds that will headline the event"

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/4/5...satoshi-ishii-to-headline-bellator-dynamite-2

As late as 5pm ET today, MMAJunkie still reported it being at 215lbs (link provided below) but talk about screwy promotion. Instead of letting Jackson pay the consequences, they did apparently change it at the last minute. Ishii was well under 225 (easily could've made 215 while Jackson barely made the limit.

I believe there will be at least a couple of kickboxing bouts which will probably be shown on the online prelims and then a Kickboxing specific tv card after the main Dynamite 2 tv main card with the bigger kickboxing bouts. I don't think they have done postlims in a long time anyway.

I remember on the MMA Hour, Rampage said it was a 215 pound fight, and how the weight cut was nothing to him and he was in great shape and ready to go. Cut to 5:00 today and he's ten pounds heavy. Man.

Yup. He also mentioned ( i think it was on MMA Hour) how Tiki was using , imo old methods, of Tiki withholding water to cut weight. They probably just said screw it.

Oh man, could they not find a better picture? loll

cool hisaki v shilling, sounds good, like an added bonus for the night

going to be a longgggg show.

There has been 0 hype for this show.

man the schedule page on spike's site fuckin sucks they need to get it together

according to mmafighting this is the main card

Main card (Spike at 8 p.m. ET)
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Satoshi Ishii
Michael Chandler vs. Patricky "Pitbull" Freire
Matt Mitrione vs. Carl Seumanutafa
Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs. Rebecca Ruth
Kevin Ross vs. Justin Houghton
Denise Kielholtz vs. Gloria Peritore

so i guess 2 kickboxing fights then the 4 main mma fights followed by 3 kickboxing fights?

Bellator's habit of putting on a ton of prelim fights we can't see quite irks me.
