Great number and thats why these freakshow fights wont be stopping anytime soon.

Next Fridays card wont even do 1/3 of the viewers.
 
A lot of people witnessed a 52 year old get hit with a groin shot and a dude almost have a heart attack on live tv.

dam, these are honestly fantastic numbers considering they weren't actual events... the majority of bellator events actually do lower than that... crazy.. im sure benson isn't mad at these freakshows. they are helping him grow his brand... looks like he got a great deal with bellator.

also, like it or not, kimbo sells.. expect coker to squeeze him for all hes worth.

I think the real question here is, how the following bellator events will do. regular bellator events avg around 650k no?(don't quote me).. if these next couple events could get as many viewers as the kimbo and benson specials, that would be a huge success imo...
 
Yeah you can't blame promoters for freak shows

People watch them. I think they need to figure a way to transition the casual viewers into watching all the time.

Even those documentary numbers are good.
 
Something to keep in mind with these numbers is that some cable companies recently put Spike in a higher pay package(many predicted these numbers to be lower than Shamrock vs Kimbo because of this change, that's crazy that it beat it by 24%), also Sudden Link carriers down here in the South dropped Spike altogether a few years back. Spike doesn't even have the reach anymore that it used to, so these numbers are really good.
 
Kimbo still proves to be a draw no matter how bad he may be.

The shit shows are ridiculously entertaining. Screw Bellators credibility. 149 was one of the funniest and funnest MMA events I've ever seen lmao. Keep it up Coker!
 
Jimmy Smith interview on MMAHour said that all Bellator cares about is the numbers (not what people write on blogs) , as long as events like this keep drawing these numbers then nothing going change. But if people start getting behind there legit events like the upcoming Davis vs King Mo event then will have more legit events and less freak shows

I dont see it carrying over much to this Fridays card, anyone think this card is gonna do 800k to 1 million viewers?

It probably gets 650k.

If they could get 750k to 800k it would be huge for this card, main event is excellent.

Spartan/Kongo is solid Bellator HW fight.

This means the Gracie train continues, freak show fights continue, Legend fights continue. It is entertainment that draws eyeballs.
