If anyone missed the Bellator event it was really interesting, the fights were okay, but the way the fights ended is what really surprised me. The first fight that had be scratching my head was when Austin Lyons def. Zach Underwood by Technical Decision. I've never seen something like that before. Lyons was for sure winning the fight before the accidental knee and it seemed that Underwood was trying to get a DQ because he seemed to have no chance of getting the win at that point. The referee decided to stop the fight and send it to the score cards. I've never seen something like that before. I know he was winning anyways but imagine if someone was winning but got rocked near the end of the third and kneed someone in the back of the head "accidentally." Would they stop the fight and send it to decision? I thought the ruling was good just because it seemed Underwood was going for a desperation DQ but I still felt weird about that choice. The last two fights that had surprising endings were Chandler losing to Brooks and King Mo losing to Rampage. I actually thought the decision was really good but in MMA we rarely see the fighter who did more damage win over the fighter who had more control throughout. It was nice to see Rampage and Brooks win because I feel they were bringing the fight where Mo and Chandler were trying to just win and do no damage. Lastly I'll just through out the ridiculous Tito Ortiz victory cries saying "I'm BACKKK!!!!" when he beat a very undersized middle weight. Looking the weight advantage was just sad and as soon as Tito put his weight on him he had no chance. Shlemenko couldn't even put on enough weight to make 205 and Tito drains himself to cut to 205. It just wasn't a fair fight and a very strange fight for Bellator to even have because with this loss their MW division losses credibility but for me at least it doesn't say much for Tito for beating a very undersized opponent.
