Thats pretty dopey. Does Nasa get "free stuff" how bout subsidies tocorporations ? When we buy the airforce jets no one calls that "free stuff" either.

Great post. OP is hypocrisy rearing it's ugly head. It's pretty typical of the right... Handouts are bad when it's for college, healthcare, food, or education but good when it's for war.

Abortion is bad because embryo dies but where are the pro lifers when that child needs parents in 10 years? Nowhere to be found.

It's also hypocrisy because a lot of the right thinks that everything is easy, too. The answer is always, "the gov't did it, and we should cut taxes on the rich," even when it makes no sense (like when the same people--Ryan, Kasich, Rubio, etc.--who screech about deficits always have massive tax cuts for the rich as part of their alleged deficit-reduction plans). I think it's fair to say that to some on the left, the answer is always "billionaires did it, and we should raise their taxes," but it's true that taxes in the U.S. are very low, and as a result, we don't have the left of safety-net protection and public-goods provision that other countries have, and that we're worse off as a result.

So, you know, ideologues bad (not *necessarily* wrong about any particular issue, but usually wrong); but left-leaning ones are currently moving things in the right direction.
