Can we all agree the LHW division is a lot more stale and shallow right now?

All the classes people get chubs over are shallow. The lower weights are where the competition is at.

I find LHW less interesting than HW these days.

HW would be a lot of fun if they hadn't recreated the same old logjam by giving Cain a rematch.

Actually it's probably less stale now that Bones is on a hiatus. Not great, but at least there is potential for a shake up.

Yeah, heavyweight is better right now. There's a sharp drop in talent after the top 5 or 6 guys at light heavy, heavyweight has more contenders IMO.

LHW is fine at the top, there's fights to be made for the foreseeable future but it's a division that desperately needs younger talent coming up.

Maybe Weidman isn't so crazy to consider moving up.

Even if LHW and HW are even in depth, HW gets shit on more.

I really want to see what happens if Fedor gets mixed in.

It's like a cake mix and Fedor is the frosting!

At least we have Jones return to look forward to. The future of heavyweight is bleak at this point. The only thing I personally am looking forward to is Overeem/JDS and the possibility of Arlovski fighting for the title again. And now that I think about it, that'd actually better in itself than the LHW picture, aka jones coming back and beating the same guys all over again.

I think LW and FW are the most phenomenally talented divisions.
The average male who is fit and cuts weight belongs in these two divisions.
When LW first started it was flooded with talent from the get-go. A lot of guys at LW turned to FW, which also became an amazing division.
When you go to see a smaller show, the guys in those two divisions are always fit and skilled.

Also, most guys at FW/LW are a bit too small to succeed in football or basketball.
So the talent for these is very high in MMA.
The 50th best FW or LW in the world is a monster. Other divisions, not so much.

I dont care, I'll always be more interested in the HW division and knowing who's the best HW in the world, over any other weight class, because quite simply the champ there rules over all other champs, and no Mighty Mouse or McHype can ever change that.

Huge mma fan and ufc fan for a while now.

But I've just never been interested in the heavyweight division at all.

    Not enough technical skill.

The only thing the heavyweight division is missing is technique and cardio.

I think HW has a bigger problem of finding new good talent.

Maybe in the future, not right now.
