Yeah, I've seen the fight. Sanchez eventually caught him cleanly. But that great uppercut notwithstanding, Diego was outclassed for most of the fight. The gif in the OP is a pretty good example.

I'm not questioning Sanchez' heart at all. He's an all time great in that regard.

Yeah what can you say. I was thinking this thread is for the overachievers. All the way through that fight I was screaming for Sanchez and I'm not even a big fan of his. I just wanted spirit to persevere. Throughout the game I've been a fan of all the technicians, Anderson, GSP, Fedor and so on, but somehow Diego Sanchez mauling that guy who beat CM Punk was one of the most cathartic moments for me ever. The old school just slaughtering the new school.
