Was promoting his brand or because he was nervous and anxious?
He was in a bad place mentally
But I do believe he was exaggerating his erratic behavior as a predetermined excuse
I also don't believe him when he says he was drinking on fight week. Dude spent 6 figures on a nutritionist alone lol
Considering the launch date of proper 12 was September 17th 2018 and the press conference was September 20th 2018, it seems obvious he was doing it in order for the whiskey to gain attention.
We already know most people will say he was nervous though
He needed it. Scared. Nervous. He knew what was to come.
To promote his whiskey.
Now move on.
It's pretty obvious that Conor is an alcoholic. So, anything is a reason to drink
Oh cool, you joined Sherdog on the day you were born!
i think its the combination with the coke that drives him crazy
this is what i've always said: he didn't lose because he was out partying and drinking. he was out partying and drinking because he knew he was going to lose, and lose badly.
I don't think he was drunk. Most of the trash talk he did in that presser was well thought of and executed with anger.
Also with the absence of a crowd he had to make it up by being louder than normal.
Nervous about a presser? No. That dude loves press conferences.
He was promoting his whiskey.
Liquid courage, he needed it
Was that press conference during fight week? If so, it seems fucking insane to me that he was drunk.
Is it confirmed or something?
No idea if he was nervous, but he acted like a weirdo at that press conference.
I think his coach alluded to Conor drinking through the entire camp. I hope he's stopped the drinking and the drugs.
Promotion plus an opportunity to piss off a teetotaler opponent is reason enough for Conor. Although having a "legimate" reason to drink at a press conference probably had its charm too.

Conor’s just a mad man, for better and for worse. If he was nervous he would’ve done the merry go round, like Gaethje did.

Shoot yoor moutt yeh
he didn't look the same when he fought Khabib. physically or mentally. i do think part of it was the money from the Floyd fight but it was also Khabib. i think everything Khabib did really got to him. slapping and bullying Artem, his ice cold confident demeanor, the way he talked to his opponents and Dana between rounds about beating Conor's ass.
