    Seems like something of a niche for collectors. Not sure why anyone would dump money on something from the 60's except as a collectors piece.

    If you're gonna get a custom built long range precision rifle, why not get something modern with modern optics?

    That said Whitefeather was a badass.

    Well, I have a model 70 which I think is what hathcock used, I also have an m40 clone which is a later version of what the USMC snipers used.

    The hardware really hasnt improved all that much. A helluva lot of sniper rifles are built on actions old enough to collect social security. What HAS gotten better is the ammunition and the calculations behind the shot.

    The shop I work at had a Springfield M1A White Feather model. Shit was badass. Even had a Night Force scope on it. It went on Gunbroker for a fuckton.
