So a month ago we had a lot of snow that proceeded to melt off. In the downstairs of my house where my room mate lives, water started seeping into the floor and spread through his room. We called property management and let them know. They sent out a guy to look at it. He was pretty sure it's a crack in the foundation. No one ever came over to fix it or analyze it further.
Fast forward to now, Boise just had the most snowfall it's had in nearly 100 years, followed by 40 degree temperatures and rain. So the snow is melting off quickly, and it's raining. The basement is completely flooded and the bottom half of the house is destroyed.
Yes, I know it's a shitty house. I'm poor. W/e. The rent on the place is actually pretty up there because it's 4 bedrooms but it's way overpriced for how shitty the house is.
So anyway, my room mate downstairs had to basically evacuate and now him, his girl, his dog and his cat are living upstairs in my space, in the extra room.
As if things couldnt get any better, my wallet was stolen out of my locker at the gym yesterday. 95% of the time I don't bring my wallet into the gym, and I KNOW I should have a lock for my locker, but honestly the vast majority of people that go to my gym don't use a lock. It's a mostly older crowd that goes there and there's an air of common trust amongst the people that go there.
So I get home and immediately call me bank. They inform me there was a purchase declined at 6:22 pm, which was after it was stolen. I ask them for information on the transaction, they inform me it was at a local shell station for 2.75. So at 6:36, I call a shell station, ask them if they recently had a purchase declined for 2.75 and the clerk says yup, guy came in trying to buy a vitamin water. I ask the color of the debit card used and the clerks description matches my card. Ding ding ding. They have him on CCTV which the store manager is going to be accessing today. I call the police department, give them all the pertinent information, and they are going to obtain the CCTV footage today and get this fuck.
I just do not understand the scum/trash mentality of people like that. Never in my life have I seen someone's wallet and thought to myself "you know.... maybe I should steal that and severely damage this persons life". I just cannot relate or understand in the slightest. It's fucking alien to me.
None of this could be happening at a better time. I start back up in school on the 17th, my first tuition payment is on the 13th and now I won't be able to pay it because my card is not active and my replacement does not come until Saturday. Fortunately my dad will be able to cover it but FUCK.
So as I'm gearing up getting ready for school, my house is flooded and my wallet is stolen. Wonderful.
When it rains it fucking pours.

I'm going to keep this thread updated with updates from the police, my gym and the gas station. Dude will get banned for life from the gym and catch a felony from the BPD. I'm gonna post this motherfuckers mug shot when he gets booked.
Update #1 -
BPD went to the gas station last night and collected all the information they could. I spoke to the gas station manager this afternoon and he has to send an email to corporate to have the tape access and corporate will burn all relevant footage to a file of some sort, send it to the gas station, and the gas station will hand it over to the cops.
