Barboza's TDD is better than Conor's but

I'd have to re-watch the fight but I'm pretty sure that Eddie was getting tagged from the very beginning or even dropped before he attempted his first td. Not to mention that Eddie is a rather mediocre wrestler at best - he only takes people down once he drags them to the fence.
1. Alvarez was knocked down first. But he shot for a TD instantly after they went back to their feet.

The revisionist history trying to make it seem like Alvarez only shot TDs while out on his feet is absurd and non sense

2. You must have never seen Alvarez fight. Alvarez is a tremendous MMA wrestler whos taken down the likes of Melendes/Chandler/Gathje/RDA

The fact he couldn't even come close to taking down Conor speaks volumes about Conor's TDD at 155

Eddie's offensive wrestling is C level even when he's not rocked

  • TD Avg.: 2.92
  • TD Acc.: 36%

Khabib has twice as many td's a fight with a higher accuracy ratio and he's a fucking chain wreslter <45>

  • TD Avg.: 5.44
  • TD Acc.: 44%

And youre a Z-level shit posting troll

Since you love to revert to stats all the time, Conor has a better TD percentage then Khabib, so therefore Conor is a vastly superior wrestler to Khabib confirmed!

You always run away from that argument. You ignore that like the plague. You have yet to ever address it

@That209 was spot on

Conor averages .92 td's a fight <{CMPALM}>His wrestling is CM Punk level.

How is this idiot not banned yet?

After the Iaquinta fight most thought his chances against Mcgregor had dropped because of his failure to takedown Al in rounds 3 and 4. I had the opposite thought. Previous to the fight, Khabib mostly used a 1-2 shot a high single/double when his opponent's back was near the fence or bum rushed his opponent into the fence. Both are dangerous ways to close the distance against Conor. Against Al he was shooting low singles at the center of the cage. Even finishing one before he got to the fence. This technique would allow him to close the distance against Mcgregor without getting countered. This is true in theory, but ignores an important factor. Al is right handed, Conor is a lefty. Khabib faced no left handed opponents outside the UFC. 17 opponents all right handed. The first lefty he faced was Tibau. He could not finish any single legs on Tibau(mostly head outside singles he tried to run the pipe/crotch lift on). Because of their stance Khabib has a difficult time getting a right underhook on lefties. That is his strongest position and how he likes to work on the fence. Right underhook, standing on his opponent's left side, head high in their chest.
After Tibau, he stopped shooting singles on lefties. Watch the RDA, Johnson and Horcher fights. Nearly all his shots were double leg takedowns. He tried to shoot a single against Horcher, but it failed. In fact I've never seen him finish a single leg shot against a lefty.
On his double legs he still needs the right underhook. Johnson was able to stop his shots and prevent Khabib from pushing him into the fence by peeling off the right underhook.
As I see it now, Khabib will not have success shooting single legs against Conor. He will be shooting doubles, which means the 1-2 setup and opening himself up to counters. Maybe Khabib has greatly improved his single leg shots on lefties, but I haven't seen it yet.

Also what you think was "just standing in front of him" was Conor utilising distance deception to counter

2nrzk3m.gif

Pay attention to Conor's forward lean to appear as a closer target. That's what draws out the jab. Conor then pulls and counters. So smooth

You really don't understand striking.

And I can show you many examples from the Floyd fight of Conor stepping around Floyd to attack his blind spots, his pivots to change up the positioning thus forcing Floyd to turn to him (off setting him/putting him out of position etc)

Conor is the 1 MMA fighter who has actual legit elite high level educated boxing footwork

People who don't know fighting think "footwork" means running and moving excessively

"Wasted movement"

Boxing is all about subtlety. Conor is always taking the right steps to be just in position or just out of position. That's real footwork. There is no one in MMA who has better real footwork then Conor or who has better boxing and counter punching then Conor

Err it was Conor who started targeting Nate's body with brutal body punching once Nate started to walk Conor down behind a high guard. Conor made the adjustment and started tenderizing Nate's insides

It was Conor's body punching which gassed Nate out

People also ignore how Conor had Nate legit hurt to the body in round 4

Conor had Nate literally SLUMPED OVER from a teep to the body
Same Shit Different Thread

can some one plz put a footwrk gif. of Conor against Floyd.
he was so brilliant that he ate that punch

If Conor gets taken down and goes through a grind, he is likely going to get his ass kicked. Analyze all you like, the guy has demonstrated that he has no heart once he gets tired out and starts to get embarrassed. If he can't keep the dance going all five rounds and conserve his energy or finish it quick, he will likely cave in again.

He showed no Heart against Mendes and Diaz 2??dont let your hate blind u

Too much Logic and fact here,most sherdoger dont like this

Edson has faced maybe 4 or 5 guys (at a push) with good take downs while Conor has fought Chad Mendes.

Basically we have no idea what Conor's take down defense/anti wrestling is like, other than that the one guy he did face with skills took indeed get him down

...And still got knocked out in two rounds. lolz

Says the guy who compared striking percentages between a fighter that stands for the majority of the fight to a fighter that spends the majority grappling

Now you wanna talk about averages
<36>

That's number one bullshit. Surely Nate's boxing is infinitely better than Khabibs but unlike him, he has no real power in his shots. Khabib on the other hand has quite a few KOs/TKOs on his resume which is pretty impressive for a pure grappler, regardless of the level of the competition that he faced.

Khabib, a power puncher.
{<huh}
The guy has 10 UFC fights - 6 Decisions, 2 Subs, 2 TKO's, 0 KO's
Khabib is as pillow-fisted as they come. He wins fights by volume of ground strikes in his GNP. He's a lying-down version of Dominic Cruz.
In fact his striking power is pathetic as pure grapplers go. Landing a bomb usually the only thing this type of fighter offers when standing up (see Chad, Hendo, T-Wood for grapplers with a real power hand)
Where does this Khabib mad-power myth come from.
