Both were decorated champions on long winning streaks, touted as being unbeatable by many.

Both needed Herb Dean to pull a young American wrestler off of them to save them from further punishment.

Aldo is the last Brazilian standing but he will not fall like his fellow countrymen, the reason being that his defensive skills are some of the best in combat sports. That is why it cannot be said he is 'like Anderson Silva', as he is better than both of the aforementioned fighters in all aspects of the game.

chad mendes will lay n pray him

Aldo's defenses is great, and his counter fighting is great. Aldo is athletic and quick. Don't see Mendes beating Aldo.

Mendes doesn't do that shit anymore. Aldo fought him when Mendes was a one dimensional wrestler with hardly any striking. Mendes is primarily a striker these days. Aldo gonna get boxed the fuark up.

Silva had a better run than Barao and I don't think Mendes is beating Aldo either.

Yeah, because Mendes has been doing it against SOOOOO many great strikers.

I'll say it again, anyone feeling froggy that Aldo is the next to lose, all bets are welcomed.

Silva got caught (rightfully so) clowning around.
Barao lost a real and hard fight.:icon_idea

Not quite! Mendez always had a good boxing game. He improved a few things here and there and got better, but it wasn't a drastic difference after the Aldo fight. It was more a strategic thing to strike more along with improvements.

To say he was a one dimensional wrestler with hardly any striking is a stretch.

Anderson Silva is the undisputed greatest mixed martial artist of all time

Rogan agrees with me so it must be true

Name 5 great Fighters that silva beat in the UFC? You can't. His only notable wins were Hendo and Chael.

Chris Weidman put a curse on all the other champions when he KOed Anderson.

Ronda seems to be immune to the Chris' curse though. Good for her

Vitor Belfort, Yushin Okami, Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson in his prime, Rich Franklin in his prime, Demian Maia.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHHA-oh wait you're srs.

Mendes has knocked out a bunch of sub par fighters, his best ko is Guida which is kinda impressive since yes got a helluva but Guida is kinda over the hill now

Aldo on the other hand stood with a pretty good kickboxer in Homonick and outclassed him mostly (Hominick had his moments) and has continued to improve on his technique offensively and defensively so much so it looks effortless.

In short- no way in hell does Aldo get outstruck, he isn't as reckless or open as Barao and has the TDD to keep it standing for at least 3 rounds as usual

Hominick got KOd in 7 seconds and also got beat in the standup by Eddie Yagin.

Wanna bet?

Forrest Griffin was also a great fighter at the time, just lost the belt to Rashad so the #2 LHW

Following the death of his trainer he really fell off, I'm talking about him at the time of the Aldo fight

I'll leave the betting to you pal.
