Can we get some cliffs on a 40 minute video. I agree they obviously fucked Aljo. Wanted Sean to headline for a belt in Boston. Aljo should have just said no.

But we have been over this already. It should be about Merabs win, not Aljos could-have-won (Which I believe happens 9/10 times)

I wish more people talked about how he got fucked over by the UFC in the O'Malley fight. It was the closest the UFC has come yet to blatantly rigging a fight (although Dana's seeming confirmation that the UFC sometimes tells fighters not to wrestle is pretty bad, as well).

I haven't watched the video, but the sequence of events I remember was this: Aljo was injured and wanted to get surgery, which would delay the proposed fight date with O'Malley by 3 (!) months; the UFC said no, he had to fight O'Malley when O'Malley was scheduled to finish his camp and would be peaking; Aljo tried to move the fight forward, to fight immediately after winning the belt, so neither he nor O'Malley would be in peak condition; the UFC said no and said if he took the surgery and delayed the fight 3 months, they'd strip him of the belt; Aljo fought, injured, because gambling he could win was better than getting stripped, and lost the belt.

It might be the most blatant the UFC has come to fixing a fight yet.
