Bands you identified with when you were younger and now..

So I'm listening to one of my old time fav bands Type O Negative. This band got me through so many tough times & I still turn to them now. Although now I constantly remind myself how Peter turned to Catholicism in his later years pretty much skewing most of his lyrics. You guys fan of any bands whose beliefs drastically changed during their active years? Does this affect your listening years later?

Personally, I try to separate art from the artist.

I kind of liken it to walking over a well-constructed bridge. You don't think to yourself, 'I wonder if the architect beat his wife. If so, maybe I should walk a different way.'
