Bag gloves for sparring?

OK,first off,I apologise if I end up sounding like a total beginner.I just purchased a set of Twins gloves as I'm starting to spar and I was advised by the assisstant instructor to get those specific gloves.
After doing some reading,I realised that I'd bought Bag Gloves.But the shop doesn't offer a refund or exchange this late and I don't have any more cash to fork up on another pair of Sparring Gloves.
My question is, are bag gloves okay to spar with? Even if its light, controlled sparring? I know the padding on a bag glove doesn't protect my sparring partner.Would the padding of a 14os Bag Glove be equivalent to the padding of a 10z Sparring Glove or Competition Glove?

My bad, Ive confirmed with my instructor that the gloves are in fact sparring gloves,but I saw a lookalike on the Twins site under bag gloves and the weight was a bit light.Thanks for the reply.
