Injuries reducing already thin cards, PED and weight cutting controversies, and the overall lack of high profile stand out stars that was once the large draw to PPV numbers- such a strategic error from Zuffa brass to dilute the brand with NFL season kicking off tonight and this weekend.
I know this is a MMA forum, but I also know than many of us are profound NFL fans as well.
With recent over saturation of frequent yet weak cards, I think it was shortsighted to let the brand and appeal diminish just as the NFL season starts. I realize most non U.S. fans won't be affected as much, but many Americans, as well as myself, will be turning our attention to away from UFC towards NFL at a greater rate this year than in the past.
And it starts with a great prime time game(GB at SEA) tonight on NBC!
