Do you guys like them? Dislike them?

Sometimes I feel like I want to add in a couple of extra sets with lighter weights just to increase the workload but I'm also pretty neurotic/anal about finishing my workouts using my heaviest poundage.

Sometimes after I do ME I feel like I haven't done enough so I throw in a fiver.

I like using them to add in more volume same with pyramiding back down for lifts such as deadlifts. Recently i've just added more volume by increasing the number of heavy working sets i do and find it has really helped my progression more then a light back off set

my rule is so long as i dont train with weight below 50% of my 1 rep max, i do whatever i want. today i didnt feel like breaking out the knee wraps and going heavy so i did massive volume with 60-67% of my 1 rep for squats.

That's normally what I do but as I work up to heavier poundages it begins to take it's toll.

I do them at times (mostly with pressing stuff though) for more volume.

I like. Sometimes after finishing what I am supposed to for a particular lift I'll throw in another set because my body feels like it hasn't done enough. I don't go crazy with it, just a few reps usually 4-8 at a weight lower than what my last prescribed set was.

I only do it on Bench for some reason...I think I'm too damn tired after Squat or DL.

Carnal once told me to do heavy sets of squats and then immediately afterwards bang out 3 sets of 10. I tried it for a couple of months and had really nice results. The volume got to me after awhile though and I had to give it a rest. I was doing 5 heavy sets and then my 3 lighter sets were still done with full on intensity. It was some of the most exhausting squat workouts I
