so I've been doing a lot of pushups lately (60 in the morning, 60 in evening-- and these are REAL pushups, not the fake, half length pushups I see most people do). I'm kinda weak for my size (6'4") in the upper body, but have been working on it and my question is, I'm working the "pushing" muscles, and lately the "pulling" muscles have been hurting like a sonbitch. Is that due to some muscle imbalance? What can I do to balance the strength gains out so neither is fucking up the other?

I've been doing pullups, but don't think I'm isolating the right muscles. I was thinking bent rows or tire-pulling (I'm moving to redneck-ville-- plenty of those around). can anyone shed some light on this?

Yes working opposing muscle groups is very important, especially around the shoulder. Do some form of row.

Chinups are one of my favorite things, get to work!
