Man those Mary Jane missions in Spiderman were horrible. Also, pretty much any missions where you have to play as a small child. The hide-and-go-seek mission from Assassins Creed 3 was the absolute worst.

The famously difficult tutorial in Driver was bad too. It literally prevented tons of people from playing the actual game.

Animus crap from Assassins Creed

Buffy the vampire slayer had this level in Hell IIRC. Was absolutely maddening.

Super Mario Bros. 3 World 6–5

Red Dead Redemption 2 - That stupid island segment.

MGS2 - Water + Escort mission

Uncharted 2 - Tutorial level

GTA4 - Snowstorm

The Witcher 3 - Ciri flashbacks

Cuphead - The "run n' gun" levels

Diablo 3 - Caverns of Araneae

Final Fantasy 7 - Temple of the Ancients

Final Fantasy 10 - That dumb ass maze. You know the one.

Jet bikes in Battle Toads.

FF7 is my favorite game of all time and have done a ton of playthroughs, but it pains me every time to play dress up for the beauty contest.

Yep loved that game but fuck that dress up BS.

Reminds me of Witcher 3 and putting on the stupid play.

It's not really the same thing as a level I suppose, but quests in an RPG seem pretty similar. Like escorting a Goat in Witcher 3 as well

I never had issues with it but a ton of people always complained about that famous vice City mission called "demolition man" where you have to fly the RC helicopter through the construction building.

Everyone I knew growing up that played vice City complained about that mission

The glyph shit in FFX

Being on the farm as john in RDR2

Wasn't that great of a game but hated the batmobile missions in Arkham Knight.

Astrolab in Dead Cells comes to mind.

Not only is it required for the final difficulty but it includes enemies you haven't encountered yet, a ton of puzzles swarming with said enemies, and has a terrible layout. Not to mention the boss after it is complete bullshit.

Also Level B: Tower of Fiends in Super Castlevania 4. Instant Death wheel climbing faster than you can as the floor crumbles under you which requires PERFECT platforming.
