Well yeah it's overly fancy, but i think he's just showing off some fancy shit.

By the way, as for the comment on resisting opponents, he did pull that one off on Robson Maura, but that was more of just an exhibition during Robson's seminar than anything.

He is really, really damn good at sweeps, this is just one of his showoff moves.

I do everything up to the point where he slips his right leg in between, instead i go for the back or single leg. It's one of my highest percentage sweeps because of the options and variations from that position.

like everything.. there is a tiem and place for every move. It all depends on how your opponent reacts.
