AGDQ 2015 live streaming starts today (1-4-15), anyone watching? If you haven't watched any of the previous AGDQ's or SGDQ's they are speedrunning marathons to raise money for charity where the best and fastest gamers showcase their skills and techniques playing all kinds of games across many platforms.

If someone asked you, how fast do you think Zelda: OOT can be beaten? What would you say? Would you guess under 19 minutes? Or how about Morrowind...? 5:35... If you want to nerd out for the next week (https://gamesdonequick.com/), or for the next few weeks (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCitK-ff2WonQhtd56Tmp0BQ) check this marathon out. The community is awesome, the events are awesome, the games are awesome, and the players are awesome... Awesome games done quick...

    60 minutes to go.
There's also going to be a Humble Bundle for AGDQ that goes live when the event starts.

    Stream's live!
Showing highlights from earlier years and a countdown.

I've seen the Ocarina 'speed run'. Such a load of shit. Why not just write code for the game so that when you push start the end credits begin to roll?

I did watch a several a couple of years ago, but they get boring after a while and I got better things to do. The few I did enjoy watching were Speed Runs for classic games that I used to play often as a teen. Like Super Metroid, Castlevania: SotN and Zelda: ALttP. It's amazing how good these guys are.

The classics are my favorite as well. The Zelda 2 run by Feasel is amazing as that game is incredibly hard. All the Zelda runs are great, Windwaker, Zelda 1, A link to the past, Seasons, etc. The Mega Man runs are crazy, gimmick, holy diver, die hard!, blaster master... and on and on...

Gonna get a fat sack, and then plop my ass down to watch this. I'm always happy when this comes around, and they bring in a lot of charity money.

Been some good runs so far. As of right now they've raised $178,294+. Tomorrow looks like there will be some great runs, a Contra race just before 4am, Little Samson race, Battletoads, River City Ransom, and Gimmick right in a row!

A couple Castlevania races. The Legend of Zelda race at 5:35, and Zelda II right after then some NES Mario.

The 7th starts with Silent Hill and Splatterhouse then ends with a Mega Man block!

They are on great pace right now. Some guy made an anonymous 20k donation. That's some hero level shit.

I missed the Banjo run unfortunately, Stiv is a beast! Blueglass is gettin hype, which is good for everyone... They're at $438k + at about the midway point. There have been amazing runs, Battleblock Theater by PJ and Mecha Richter with the developers on the phone was hilarious. Mega Man block tonight, always entertaining...

Tetris: The Grandmaster Exhibition... wow...just wow! The games are insane, the players are beyond human. If you didn't just watch that live, make sure you catch it when it's uploaded to youtube. It's Tetris x 1000!

Today is the final day of the marathon with over 700k raised so far. The Final Fantasy VII run is coming up in an hour, and the Zelda OoT child dungeons blindfolded run is yet to come! Will the animals die or be saved? We'll find out during the still to come Super Metroid run...
