I found this house on zillow https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/707-Barrington-Hill-Rd-Fayetteville-WV-25840/22426889_zpid/

If you tried to buy this house in New York it would cost $5 million minimum

My locale about 120k over this chart and I’m down the list a ways.

Massachusetts is going up quick too. Used to be Boston and surrounding communities pulled the statewide average up, with remote work increasing, people are moving a little further out for more space and prices are jumping all over. Demand hasn’t dipped around the city either though. Im in a town next to Boston and my house was appraised at 300k more in July than when I bought it in late 2019.

Averages get skewed by the high end. Median house value will be more helpful.

Im so tempted to sell and move to mexico or some other low, low cost of life place and live like a king.

I know several people that moved to Idaho in the last year or two. The swarm of people moving there is for sure driving up the prices.

Where to? Meridian? Star? Kuna? Nampa?

It has weirdly common to see Texas license plates this year. I see as many Oregon plates as California plates. The natives are getting drowned out.

that house hold median income seems very low
