I wonder if they will open fire if migrants decide to storm the border?

Migrants are still going to Italy by the boatload. Eventually, they will start to head north. This situation is unsustainable.

The only good thing that may come from this migrant crisis is that they break the welfare state and the EU falls under the weight of its own stupidity and ignorance.

Is this news? The German-Austrian border is closed/ controlled by police for quite some time now, no? So Austria can't take in more and more refugees at the southern border if they can't move northwards. Hungary and Slovakia aren't exactly welcoming refugees either right? Yeah...except Italy is coming out, meeting them halfway, ferrying them to Italy, and then providing food/housing for an indefinite amount of time. All on the taxpayer dime. Not sure how that constitutes "not having a say in the matter". Italy, Germany, etc, are actively enabling their own demise.

We have a natural "moat", it's called the Mediterranean sea. But, the Italians rather than pulling up the draw bridge, are literally picking these boats up and shipping them to their shores.

We need to pull up the drawbridge.

It is done because the Italian government chooses to do so. Politicians are elected by the people in Italy, last time I checked. So ultimately, this is done with the consent of the people, i.e. by choice.

Yeah in Italian waters. Bound by Euro treaties. It´s not like they can just sink them (Unfortunately)
