Yes it's a contact sport, but if someone breaks another player's jaw and knocks out some of his teeth with a punch, he should face court imo.
It all depends on the other player pressing charges or not. I have a feeling he won't, i wouldn't think he'd be very popular in the sport if he did.

Only saw 1 punch thrown in TS videos.
 
Same in hockey, more stuff ends up in court these days. Just because it’s a contact sport doesn’t mean that you get a free pass on punching people in the face. In hockey fighting has been considered a part of the game for so long that people have always seen this as an inside matter. However the courts don’t see it this way, and assault charges are more common. Convictions too.
