Attn: PR for Graedy

I'm in.

P.S.: I still have an asshole, assholes!

My first surgery was in the beginning of August 07 (don'T know the exact date from memory as the date was shifted very often once I had entered the hospital). I left the hospital at the very end of August.

Are we supposed to do a PR and video it on July 31st or do it earlier and post it on the 31st?

Assuming this works the same as it did last year, July 31 is the target date to set the PR and shoot the video. But if circumstances dictate that you do that stuff a few days earlier or later, it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm aiming for a 400lb squat about then, and I'm hoping to get back into steel bending some time soon, so hopefully I'llhave something to post (never did get round to filming that whole 'human can opener trick' really ought to, it was fun, spinach tastes better if you ripped the can open by hand.).

So, we should only submit on exercise for the PR?

On a side note, Graedy, what are you recovering from?

PR's im going for, SOHP, fat bar jerk, post injury back squat, db c&j, and maybe a DOH dl.

It's up to you, I think. Last year, I did a hilariously large number of mostly small PRs (like, 10 lbs.) because I was making n00b gains like crazy and assumed everybody was going to shoot for a lot of PRs. Some people did one, some did a couple.

I'll probably go for a 155 SOHP, maybe a 165 power clean and/or 315 squat.

Holy crap. I need to pay more attention to your log. You're getting strong dude.

I'm going to hit 250 on the bench, then rip CC's pic into shreds for the camera...

Speaking of...someone needs to step up and do the video compilation...

bump.

I'm probably just going to edit my own vid if no one is going to set stuff up.

Is a vid strictly necessary? I don't have one temporarily..... I'd like to dedicate my 495 DL PR to Graedy. I'll try to get vid up when I can.

I haven't a clue how to edit video's, and I'm almost positive I don't have any software adequate for doing so, so I'm out on that front, sorry.

I had a really good pull day yesterday, so I may try to record a new dead PR. If not, I may just use one of the recent ones I did if that's ok.

Hmm... July 31st, eh? Seems to correspond with my lifting schedule pretty well. Count me in, although I probably won't be a ble to get a video up. Haven't got a camera, nor do I have the pesetas to buy one right now. We'll see...

Crap. How the hell did I miss this thread when it was first posted?

For that matter, how the hell didn't I start it? I have the anniversary marked on my calendar... looks like I need start looking more than one week ahead.

Anyhow, I'm sure as hell in, and as far as I'm concerned, it should be an annual event for as long as the S&P still stands.

I should be able to get video of whatever I wind up doing. I've never edited a video in my life, but I can probably try it if Bubbles is scarred for life by his last experience.

Original guidelines still apply: it doesn't matter what the hell it is, if it's a Personal Record for you, then it counts. One extra rep, two extra pounds, 1 second off your best time, it doesn't matter: if it's better than you've ever done before it counts. July 31 is the cut off: if you can shoot for your PR that day, awesome; if it fits better in your schedule to do it a bit earlier that's fine, too. Videos are appreciated, but not neccessary.

We might not be pulling just for Graedy anymore, as he managed to survive his surgery despite his best efforts to the contrary, but a universal S&P PR Day is still worth having. One day, every year, to push yourself just a little farther or faster than you ever have before.

Hell yeah I'm in.

The quality SUCKS cause my g/f used her phone and focused on the weight, instead of me, but here's my submission.

I'm planning something, but circumstances are forcing me to wait.

Last year a lot of submissions came in late.
