At One Point CM Punk Said He Would Have 8 UFC Fights?

For fun though lets say you’re a UFC Exec and you want to get the most cash out this fiasco with 8 fights. What opponents do you match him with?

I think they went all wrong with having the Gall fight first. It just confirmed what many suspected, that Punk is a bum in the MMA game. I think Gall would have been a good fight at some point as I think once an illusion of credibility is established and Punk has gotten some PPV buys off of beating nobodies you can then use his name to draw attention and get some easy wins for your legitimate prospects like Gall.

I would have his 8 fights go something like...

1. vs. Bum
2. vs. Bum
3. vs. Sage Northcutt
4. vs. Bum
5. vs. BJ Penn
6. vs. Emil Meek
7. vs. Mickey Gall
8. vs. Another Legitimate Prospect

Ideally Punk beats the bums. He loses to the five actual fighters which gives him an overall record of 3-5. Northcutt who the UFC is way into gets a boost, Penn gets a fight he can actually win, and three prospects get to pick the bones as people lose interest.

Doesn’t make sense from a business perspective though. Rumble would kill Punk and UFC would probably then be opened up to a congressional investiagation.
