Gane vs Aspinall for the HW belt of the future is going to be an amazing fight. And Gane showed a legit sprawl there against Spivach, so I’m less worried about an Aspinall blitz takedown ending the fight early and easy

Maybe, but still you gotta have Pavlovich involved I think. I’d lean Aspinall getting the chance against him over Gane simply because he hasn’t gotten a shot yet.

Aspinall/Gane is my dream fight for the HW division right now. Spivak didn't pursue the grappling much, but he had a couple deep shots that Gane stuffed nicely. Fucking geeked to see Ciryl shake off that last fight, he was cool as a cucumber against a legit grappler.

He said it, but the UFC will probably disregard it and schedule the right fight.

This, and I like Gane a lot too. I also like Aspinall a lot and think he's the best current HW, period.

But Aspinall comes from a loss to Blaydes (injury but still) and win over Tybura. That's a bit light for a title shot and does not really put him over Gane.
I also think Aspinall is phenomenal but his record needs some work. At least a top 5 win.

Gane showed he can defend basic TDs, but Aspinall's shot are way faster and with better set up.
