That Lawler fight easily could have been stopped during that heavy GnP. Askren really can't shit talk Colby or Usman at this point. He can't score a clean win in the UFC and the only time he technically won, was after he got slammed on his head & was nearly knocked out cold

Nah, obviously he was hit by a crushing blow and one shot against Masvidal. Healer can't stop that. Askren needs to work on his gear and shield block rotation to push crushing blows off the damage table.

A win is a win. Plus, he survived and Lawler failed to finish the job, so it's fair. Move on.

I don't think he's a UFC caliber fighter, though. If he does win another fight, it'll be in a similar toughen-it-out fashion. But that's a horrific long term strategy. For him. Fans will be entertained.
