from what i can vaguely remember, ronda had to scream at edmund and walk out of the gym after months of being ignored by him. He went after her and they made up afterwards. and then things were happily ever after.

Edit: oh yeah forgot to mention... i think he knew at that point that she was serious about the training because she reacted the way she did.
