Jones vs. Gustafsson was the best fight I have ever seen. It reminded me so much of Rocky. Even them meeting in the hospital to the inevitable rematch. I don't care who won, great fight! The stock of both fighters has been raised.

The stock of jones as being tough has been raised, but i think skillwise it has diminished.

It wasn't the best fight I've ever seen imo. Top 10 though.

Prior to this I had Karo vs. Diego and Shogun vs. Lil Nog as my favs. I was on the edge of my seat more for this one though.

I was on the edge of my seat too. Standing and pacing actually. For me though I think it was more a "holy shit Gustafsson is winning this fight" thing.

I can't remember watching a fight like that since pride days, maybe hendo/shogun but this was better than that IMO. It's gotta be top 5 or 10 fight I've ever seen, perhaps number one! Fucking incredible! Respect to both fighters

Yeah, I agree there. That definitely added to my enjoyment of the fight. My wife was like, "Why are pacing around just sit and watch it."

I've been regretting wasting 60 bucks for an HD broadcast but this fight was worth every penny.

it's not even the best close decision i've seen

machida - shogun 1 was more technical and entertaining in my opinion

Seriously? I remember a house full of MMA fans being disappointed with that fight. There are much better arguments than Machida vs. Shogun.

This. I know I'm deeply invested in a fight if I can't sit. Usually I pace or throw mad front kicks and round kicks. :)

I also yell a lot when a fight is really good. I agree that this fight belongs in my top ten. I've been watching the Mauler come up, he's been my top prospect for a long time, and after last night he is definitely my new favorite fighter. What a war!

Mauler made his name Saturday night and I can't wait to see him fight again. I would gladly cough up the dough for a rematch.

I agree. Off the top of my head the only 2 I can immediately think of I enjoyed more were Shogun vs Hendo and Silva vs Sonnen 1. I don't think I will ever be as jubilant at the end of a fight as I was for Silva/Sonnen 1.

    maybe if Silva beats Weidman

See. I was excited for Silva vs. Sonnen because I thought Sonnen would do the impossible, when he got caught I disappointed. Put a slight damper on the fight.

'Twas an epic fight for sure, probably the best title fight since Edgar-Maynard III.

It was damn, damn good. I'm amazed Bones was still going in the fifth and that Alex was alive to make it to the fifth in the first place.
