Manny and Marquez will have separate fights on the same card. I bet Gamboa will be there too. Would be awesome if Manny fought Bradley. Not sure who JMM could fight but I think his will be more of a tune up than Manny's. JMM is only a good fight for Manny due to their clashing styles. I don't think he'd fair well against someon else.

Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are being poised to share the spotlight anew on April 20.
Not against each other but against separate opponents.
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum told the Bulletin on Wednesday that Pacquaio has already indicated his desire to return to the ring in April following the sixth-round knockout to Marquez last year in Las Vegas.

"While I was on vacation (in Cape Town, South Africa), (Pacquiao adviser) Michael (Koncz) reached out to (Top Rank matchmaker) Bruce Trampler, saying they want to fight in April," said Arum from his Las Vegas residence.
Arum said Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions is due to meet with Marquez about the possibility of him and Pacquiao appearing in a double-header against separate foes.
Arum said the proposed double main event should serve as a teaser to a planned slambang September showdown between Pacquiao and Marquez, saying it will be held during the height of the celebration of Mexican Independence.
"This is a more important celebration among Mexicans compared to the Cinco de Mayo (festivities)," said the 81-year-old Arum.

Arum said that while the Nevada Athletic Commission prevents Pacquiao from fighting within a 120-day period, the ban would have been lifted by the third week of April. The commission also has ordered the 34-year-old Filipino icon to refrain from engaging in any contact in the first 90 days of the mandatory suspension.
"It didn't say that he can't train," reasoned out Arum, noting that Pacquiao can commence sparring a month before the fight.
Still, Arum maintained that negotiations haven't started yet.
Pacquiao said he has moved on from the Marquez defeat and is actually aching to return to the ring as he begins the arduous road to redemption.
Despite the brutal knockout, Pacquiao was cleared by doctors in Las Vegas after a CT Scan immediately after the fight and upon his arrival in Manila, he underwent an MRI and was given a clean bill of health by experts at Cardinal Santos.

Wow. That would blow the May 4th card outta the water. I hope Rios is an available opponent for either guy.

I wonder who's gonna complain that Marquez knocks out Pac, only to wind up on a Pac undercard. Damn Bob Arum!!

I don't think it would blow the may 4th card. especially when mayweather and broner are going to fight in the same card.

I don't think this will affect the May fight in anyway, if people can afford to attend one of these fights, they can most certainly go to both. Also even if it was the case, people who couldn't attend would just buy one or the other (or both) PPV's.

Good news for boxing fans!! Anyone know when A.Ward will be good to go again??

Not really sure about that, outside the U.S. who knows about Broner?

I would agree though May 4th card with Canelo and Trout and Broner is gonna be the SHIIIIT!

Um.... seriously? Mayweather, perhaps. Broner, no. Only the hardcore fans are familiar with him right now. Canelo is big, But mostly in Mexico. Pacquiaoand Marquez are both worldwide superstars and active all time great fighters. Not much of a comparison in terms of quality. Both will do great numbers though.

Mayweather is a bigger draw by a bit in the US and Canelo is slightly less then a draw then Marquez. Broner being on that card makes it bigger whether casuals know him or not.

Marquez has never drew well alone in the US.

We don't know that. His name definitely gained a lot of meaning after his last fights with Pac. For this I can see Pac-Bradley but Marquez is risky. They don't want to risk losing him. I hate to say it but if they get Morales back it could be perfect for him.

Anyway, the Mayweather card is still bigger. It's also very important for us boxing fans as Canelo and Broner will be lifted to the next level if they actually put this together. Canelo gained a huge image boost after his last show on the Mayweather under card. I think Broner will be lifted to where Canelo is now, and Canelo will get another boost in popularity.

Pacquiao vs Maidana would easily be fight of the year...and with the improvements Maidana has made and his never say die attitude, he might win this.

If Pacquiao and Marquez both retire before then Arum will just spar with 50 Cent.

    Beat me to it. LOL

Anyways, JMM does not deserve to be in Pac's undercard. Nope.

Maidana is a smaller less skilled version of margarito with less of a chin

Ridiculous if you have actually watched his last two fights.

Maidana has more power and based on his last two fights the skill was always there and is being brought out now. From what I heard he was quite the boxer in the ams.

Margarito was all balls and he had some success with that. Not saying Maidana > Margarito but he is heading in the right direction.

Maidana has definitely been showing improvements in recent times.

But as far as a potential fight with Pac is concerned... Isn't Maidana on GBP?

And I highly doubt this super card takes place, two weeks before Floyd Mayweather's 'super card' which is already locked in
