ARROW Official Discussion Thread 4.0: Right Cross= Cap Lance HW Champ Edition

I think that premier was definitely better than the one for Flash. Not perfect, but enough interesting teases that I'm excited to see where it goes.

FLASH/ARROW Crossover Image Shows Magneto and 2 Wolverines!

legends-arrow-flash-158663.jpg

A number of Justice League members have assembled in the first officially-released teaser image from the forthcomign crossover between Arrow and The Flash. The two-episode event will introduce characters who will eventually populate DC's Legends of Tomorrow, launching in January on The CW, and will air in three weeks, following a one-week hiatus for Thanksgiving in the U.S.

The episode is expected to pit Green Arrow, The Flash and their allies against Vandal Savage, the immortal cave man who will ultimately become the big bad of Legends of Tomorrow. Legends stars Franz Drameh (Firestorm II), Caity Lotz (White Canary) and Brandon Routh (The Atom) have already checked in this season, and even Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl) has made a cameo, albeit not in costume. Both Hawkman and Rip Hunter are expected to appear in the crossover episodes, which have been described as a "true" two-part story, rather than the two stand-alone team-up stories told last year during the crossover episodes.

Well arrow premiere blew the flash premiere out of the water...not even close. Funny watching Ollie being out of practice and getting his ass handed to him by darhk..lol

Wonder why he didn't use a trick arrow instead of normal ones when they clearly were not effective...

Diggles costume and mad looks better in action than it did in pictures esp faceguard down

Seriously, that helmet Diggle wears looks retarded. Seriously, is that the best the crew can come up with? Other than that, it was a good episode.

They went full CW this episode. You never go full CW. Hopefully we won't have a whole relationship filled episode for another season.

Will we be seeing the return of Deathstroke next week?

wonder when they show all the neat tricks diggles mask and gun have, according to what i read both have alot of range of uses..

also if cisco came up w/ollie suit and weapons, all he gave him was regular set of arrows he had before...kind of a letdown

They rescued Ray (Brandon Routh) and we got our first good luck of The Atom, so it wasn't just a relationship episode. His suit looked really cool, I hope the Legends of Tomorrow is good.

I was going to post this, almost verbatim. I hope they filled their quota for the season with this one.

Yo, whose tombstone was that? Call it!
I'm going with Lance.

Felicity's mom looked on point tonight. She's a Star City 8 for sure. Canary is legit crazy. I'm interested to see how she integrates into her new team.

Hope he gets out, and his enhanced abilities remanifest.

I thought both premieres were good, but Arrow gets the edge with already showing their big main bad

Cap'n Lance bout to hit that.

F-city's mom that is. Not his daughter. CW ain't about that life.

I want to see Deathstroke vs. Ra's al Ghul.

Is the third season of Arrow as good as the second Season? Does it have an explosive last few episodes? I am thinking about buying it.

Detective Lance finding out the truth was a heartbreaking scene.

Glad they didn't go with the whiny emo reaction route when Thea found out about Oliver's secret.

But Oliver going back to Starling City in the flashback...

They are totally destroying the mystique of Oliver being stranded on the island for 5 years. I've always disliked the island flashback scenes and the Hong Kong flashbacks were particularly stupid but this new one just takes it to a whole new level. They should just drop the flashback format. It has become too moronic and has worn out its welcome.

No! Don't buy it!

If anything watch it when it eventually comes on Netflix.

That would've been a great episode if they had kept that teen drama shit to a minimum.

I really hope that gravestone in the future is Felicity's.

Might be in the minority, but I've liked most of the flashbacks. Esp the island ones.

Third was ok, but not as good as the second. Dhark (so?) is cool. Got him some powers. He's gonna tough to beat.

haha the finding ourselves in each other was too much, even for the CW. Its mind blowing how much hotter sara looks in her costume compared to laurel. i'm not sure if its just because its low cut but damn!

Yeah Lance is a really good actor imo, and I was also really glad Thea didn't take the cliched whiny route about finding out.

I like them, but I prefer if they didn't have that Tommy scene in Hong Kong or the upcoming Starling city scene where we're sure to have some ghost of christmas past moments as Oliver watches his family through the window or some shit.

Yes.

Awesome.

Nah man, that would just break Oliver. My money is on Lance.

solid start to the season that was very good.

I'm on season 3, but I gotta admit that I love this show.

But holy shit...! Crixus AND Ashur time travelled from ancient Rome to modern day US to be super villains? Fucking awesome!

Hope he gets out, and his enhanced abilities remanifest.

i really hope they go this route..i get that arrow is realistic; but if that is the case they can go w/tech based abilities and guys w/limited powers, nothing flash level..but maybe enhanced speed strength durability healing.

Can anyone please explain why all episode Diggle is one shotting bad guys with his gun, but then he shoots Damien Darhk with a dart? WTF?

Laurel is more covered up as Canary isn't she. She doesn't show any cleavage.

Ammel posted on his FB, "Everyone can quit sending me the video of the Danish archer. Is he awesome? Yes. Would he be as accurate if I punched him in the face? Certainly not."
I'lol go ahead and submit a title for 5.0 "Stay sharp arrowheads"

A very strong start for this season.

I was happy when they announced that Neal McDonnough was playing the baddie, and he didn't disappoint.

I like that he's not just another super martial artist as well, and even better that he's a magic user and not another metahuman.

Definitely an interesting angle for the big bad, as well as what mysteries Ollie will discover on the island.

He's gonna get more vids now.

I don't understand why he's killing in the first place.

I thought that Team Arrow was supposed to refrain from using lethal force.

Agreed. I thought the idea of the guy having to really struggle for years on an island would be a unique twist on the super hero genre, but he was around people the whole time. Then made it onto a ship, then made it to Hong Kong. Using phones and email and shit.

Damn I missed Felicity's booty, need to get her back in my av

Even more interesting, Oliver auditioned for the role of Spartacus.

I like the flashback scenes. I think one of the reasons they do it is to give non comic books Ollie's background that made/shaped him into who he is today.

Thought that was a great premiere. Way better then the Flash. Loving the new Arrow costume. Still meh about Diggle's. I didn't like that Oliver had his face barely covered when he delivered his message on live television. Damien Darhk has a lot of potential. Hope they don't drop the ball.

Now about the ending. There are only 2 candidates that would elicit should a depressing reaction from Oliver and Barry. It's either Thea, which would be lame as she just "died" last season. Or its Felicity.:icon_cry2

Does Damien Darhk have bulletproof couches?

Considering the skills he showed after returning from the island does it really make sense that he would have spent all his time there? You don't become a master of martial arts, a ranking member of the russian mob, acquaintance of government black-ops operatives, and adept user of technical gadgetry just by being stuck on a forested island in the middle of the ocean.

Oliver didn't look upset enough for it to be Felicity.

I think it's their means of being able to set up back story for any new villains and characters as the seasons roll on. That is, until they run out of time.

is diggle killing guys or is it a fancier type of tranquilizer or something similar to the icer guns in agents of shield... Supposedly star labs came up w/the gun and the mask so they can do different thing; they don't just conceal his identity but can be used for strategic and analysis purposes, and his gun is supposed to be capable of lethal...non lethal options.

the "ghosts" body armor seems to be bulletproof, and diggles one shotting these cats; meaning he isn't using typical ammo....

These are the only two parts of the last episode I liked.

I was thinking it had to be Thea or Felicity too, since Barry showed up. But if it was Felicity, i think Barry and obviously Oliver would have been more upset. If it's Thea, Barry doesn't really know her, and would just be there out of respect for Oliver. Where as if it were Felicity, Barry is pretty emo and since he and Felicity used to have that weird chemistry/attraction, he would be pretty upset and show more emotion.

Great episode. I'm also not sold on Diggle's mask, but it did seem better than when i thought it was just a helmet. The characters need to mature a bit, though. Thea still acts like she is 8 and Laurel, despite driving all the way to Coast City to plead with Oliver to come back to the team because they're struggling with their latest adversary, gets all pissy when Oliver makes a plan and hands out tasks. I went from being happy that she didn't take the typical Laurel "i can do it myself" attitude, and asked for help, to getting annoyed when she got mad when she got the help she asked for. Weird. And Thea looked pretty good in action, but when she yelled out in the train station "everyone out! Danger!" in this mousey voice, i just laughed. Like i said, awesome episode, but that line was a little weak.

And they need to either have Green Lantern on the show eventually or stop **** teasing us. I dig the easter eggs, but will be severely rustled if GL doesn't show up at some point.
