Well kinda two questions. What would be a good way to describe the knee on belly style armbar to save in future such a long title? If I'm not clear what I mean if you imagine the way your legs are positioned after a knee on stomach armbar that is the variation I'm referring to.

My question is what is the correct way to execute this armbar from you back? I've used it a few occasions on my back but it was more as a way to keep my opponent from securing a pass such or if they have been lazy and left their arms lose on top of me whilst controlling me with knee on stomach.

Eric Schafer attempted it on Michael Bisping literally moments before he got finished but it did look reasonably tight. Would you say this particular type of armbar is low percentage to execture or are their legit setups for this?

Thanks.

hopefully someone corrects me if im wrong but as long as its deep and the knees are tight should be good to go

you have to watch for them getting to their knees and be ready to switch to the omoplata if it goes that way.
