Arm Crush examples in competition?

    I saw this old Eddie Bravo vid the other week and I started playing around with the arm crush.


    It's been working pretty well and seems like a really low risk attack to go for. With that said is there any examples of it being used in high level competition? If not, is there a reason it isn't used that I'm simply missing?

    To be clear, this is the arm crush.

    the arm crush in class works 100% of the time, in competition, I dont know, Ive seen 10th guys go for it at EBI but seems like people just tough it out...

    I suspected that might be the case, but I'm still confused. How does one simply "tough out" a torn bicep. Or is the arm crush not actually powerful enough to tear a bicep, making it just a pain hold.
