Arm Bar Sweep from D'Arce BJJ!

hey guys
my name is Brian i train at D'Arce Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in long island new york.
im a Blue Belt under Joe D'Arce (im not in this video)
we started recording some moves so people can learn on their own time
let me know what you guys think also advice for future moves
and YES Joe plans to show the Darce Choke soon

The move is interesting, I actually don't like the way the partner reacts. It seems to me this move could be a really good follow up to a stacking armlock defense with knee raised.

I'll try it, thanks for sharing.

I thought this was going to be an armbar sweep from a darce choke. I imagined that a guy was getting darce'd then he somehow stepped over and pulled off an armbar sweep from getting darce'd

And because of the exclamation marks I thought it was going to be sweet.


Nice vid anyway though...

lol i came into this thread expecting a darce to armbar transition.

misleading title, but still a quality thread.

Yeah Hes a Great instructor, Hes a High Level brown belt in Jiu Jitsu and he's almost a black belt in Judo. i constantly get tossed around by him!
 
Would definately like to see a darce choke how-to video from D'arce
 
Timmy is a GREAT instructor. He breaks everything down to the most simplistic, and basic terms, so that the bigger picture makes sense.

Yeah hes really does break things down well.
we just shot some new stuff be on the look out guys!
 
why not just go to an omoplata from there? You can either sweep with the omo or get the omo??
 
Nice video. Is there a reason why he doesn't, after completing the sweep, bring his left leg over for mount (or triangle if the guy blocks) rather than going to side control on the same side? Didn't know if there was a technical reason or just a preference.

i believe its just preference we shot a few more moves, you know different options so we will make more i believe we do a option were he mounts.

hahaha well you re correct yesterday i did not use this move what so ever!
and anytime i roll with you i always got arm bar defense on the mind so i dont think ill ever be hitting you with this!
