In case you didn't watch the whole damn presser:

Summary of the entire press-conference

Well to be fair Dana already explained why they are not making the fight way before he asked that question.

Not a Helwani fan, but he is growing on me.
I wasn't either, I was pretty negative on him. But he has made me rethink my opinions, I guess its watching how funny it is when he sticks it to the UFC.

He got a lot of applause at that presser when he they first showed him on screen.

helwani, always asking the tough questions to get....nothing

If Ariel wasn't a journalist, he would write populist novels involving lots of cheesy drama.

Dana has no choice but to suck it up and not respond like he wants to to Helwani. Helwani has shown complete class with his FOx break up and the fans love that he asks the tough questions. Dana would look like more of a tool then usual if he responds negatively

Fact is only very few want that fight....Ariel is wrong and making shit up...Most people want Conor to defend his strap....That's the fight they want...oh but then Conor wouldn't have the bigger, taller, longer excuse and he would lose his title.

Yeah, I always saw him as a UFC homer, but he was really sticking it to Dana with this one. It will be interesting if Dana stones his press credentials going forward, like he did with Josh Gross. Helwani obviously pissed Zuffa off before this, and he is doing more of it now by clearly pointing out that Zuffa is the one stopping the fight because Conor will not do marketing for it, that it isn't Conor being scared of/ducking Diaz.

Yeah you will find that the people within the mma community that do not like Helwani are actually threatened by his emotional intelligence, now we all know that Rampage is probably one of if not the most underdeveloped individual emotionally and he had a real problem with a lot of the questions that Helwani used to ask him, he used to continually accuse Helwani of starting shit, when all Helwani was doing was asking the questions that the MMA community and fans wanted the answers to, unfortunately they made Rampage insecure, but he would say that Helwani was just starting shit.

He didn't 'school' anybody. He's a media hack stirring the pot of supposed injustice. He's an agitator, a rabble rouser, nothing more. Not even a hint of impropriety on Conor's part if you ask Helwani. Dana needs to just give in to this stick up artist. The guy's a puke.

Nate not caring about fighting if Conor isn't his opponent was actually a breath of fresh air for Dana.

- Most people didn't like the idea of this rematch and it being the main event for this "historic" event.
- Once Conor was dropped, and they thought Nate still wanted a fight, it left the UFC with few matchups worth leaving Diaz as the main event.

This is almost a best case scenario as far as I'm concerned. Now let's get a REAL main event (hopefully a title fight).

So you're telling me that Conor vs. Frankie is going to do better PPV numbers than Conor vs. Diaz II? Not in your wildest dreams is that what most people want.

Hardcore fans, maybe. Definitely not most people.

I disagree, Sherdog is not a representative sample of the real world. I have always wanted Conor vs. Edgar, but I am honest with myself about being in the minority. Try talking to someone in a bar, or talking to the guy next to you on an airplane, they know Conor and the know Diaz, they most likely don't know Edgar. Sad but true.

Nobody really wants this fight though...Conor does, Nate doesn't, Dana doesn't, even Conor's coach doesn't....The fans want it...NOPE!

The fans want Conor to defend his belt against Frankie or Aldo.....But he won't because he's ducking them and now he's ducking Nate on top of it...he's a duck...Gone Runnin'

The only idiots that wanted this fight to begin with are either 1) rabid McGregor fans 2) rabid Nate Diaz fans

Believe it or not, there's tons of MMA fans that aren't really fans of either.
