Are you making efforts to be more popular?

Now that I’m out of school and have my career on track,

I was thinking of holding house parties and social events to socialize more.

I feel like a lot of adults stop making friends and fall out of touch with old ones as age and responsibilities set in.

Trying not to fall into that rut.

Why not be a bit more active in the community and keep in touch with others and invite them over for drinks and food more often.

I dont but you are right, you should make an effort. Try not to come across as needy or something like that.

It's difficult though.

That's a really weird way to phrase it if you are actually an adult with a legit career.

High school kids and people who never grow up are worried about being "popular", while adults "network".

But to answer your question I'd imagine a good start would to join a young professionals group or something (unless you are older than you implied). Throwing house parties probably won't do you much good in the long term unless you have the right network going to them ;)

I couldn't care less. Who really does?

Yes. We need 3 more songs and its the recording studio.

Lol. Dress it up all you want but adults are basically large children with money.

Having a network is important. It’s not what but who you know.

Eventually you’re gonna need to lean on your network.

No.... I'm the only introvert in my entire family. I have a couple buddies but I prefer being alone with my animals tbh...

You should just open a bar or strip club. Everyone will just come to you and want to be your friend.

I've the same handful of friends for 20-30 years now. I've exactly 2 Filipino friends after 8 years here, and we're close. I've recently bonded with an aged, busty shop owner nearby. She's horny, and lonely....and I will smash that when my wife finally gets smart and rids herself of me.

At work: Definitely not, It is not good to be too friendly with your employees because it can complicate business practices. And I've accepted that most people don't like their boss anyways.

Socially: I only go out of my way to be nice with my wife's friends/family because it'd make my wife happy.

Probably should. People really hate me --I pissed off a dude at work now his part time job is talking shit about me to everyone---except chicks that think they have a shot at getting w/ me

We socialize plenty. It isn’t for everyone, but we have a lot of fun. As life goes on, you need things to look forward to.

Lol at this thread.

I see and deal with enough people at work. Fuck socializing.

No dude, cut off all your friends. Find a woman to have a loveless marriage with. Have a handful of ungreatful brats that you never spend time with. Devote yourself to a boss that will never give you a pay raise. That's how you adult.

I remember house parties...stuff getting stolen...puke everywhere...people banging in the beds and elsewhere throughout the house...stuff getting destroyed...call me if you have one...good times!

The first sentence or two of your posts are always on topic and then the final couple sentences always randomly have something to do with some chick wanting your nuts.
