I’m working at a good career and being successful and I’m pretty happy.

Today my boss was telling us on a conference call about how he was in Vancouver driving around,

And he went to neighbourhoods where the cheapest house was 4 million dollars, and the nicer houses were about 20 million dollars.

I was just realizing I’ll most likely never be able to afford a house like that.

Even if I made 500k a year or a million a year I could never buy a house in that neighbourhood.

I’m pretty cool with that though. I’ve come pretty far from the gutter.

Being rich is all relative bro. I'm rich as fuck in the fact I have a beautiful wife and kids. I'm a govt worker so never getting money rich, but fuck that noise anyway.

More money = more problems ie more taxes.

Your boss sounds poor.

Make an effort to collect experiences to make a life worth living, and you'll always be wealthy.

I m 100% OK with not being rich. I always have enough and that is enough.

Take $85.00 and move to Calcutta. You'll seem pretty wealthy there. Just don't live on a designated shitting street.

I wouldn’t mind a vacation house but otherwise I’m fine with how I live. I could even downsize and still be happy.

i wouldnt call that rich, thats like the super rich or elite. 20 million dollar homes? Dude i could live off 20 million dollars for more than 20 lifetimes.

Anyone with a house thats not in the ghetto, what is i guess considered upper middle class but some, is rich to me. The poor are the homeless, and the people in projects on section 8 n shit like that. Anyone that can own a frickin house in california has got to be makign good money, its ridiculously expensive. Theres people out there spending money just on rent that people make in a month and raise families on thats bullshit. The way the economy is and all that stuff, I dont know if Ill ever even be able to buy a 200k house in my lifetime! unless there is another huge crash, alot of people are fucked.

no I rather be rich AF and not have to work I hate wasting time and my life at work. I rather driving race cars, skydiving, boating and enjoying life all the time. being rich also makes you not have to worry about medical bills or getting the best treatment.

I'll never have genius level intelligence or model good looks either. Meh, life is good regardless.

Yes. As long as I have the money to get the things I need, some of the things I want, and live comfortably, i’m Good.

I wish had more money in my bank account so I could at least leave semi comfortably but that is about it. I just want enough money to be able to pay off my bills and have extra to buy things I want.

You have kids?

Do you dress up like John Wayne Gacy for their birthday parties?

I'd love to be rich but will never be that well off, should be comfortable enough though. Paying off a mortgage, enough dough to put my kid through a decent school, have a (small) cabin up the beach, better off than the vast majority I'd imagine. Except for Sherdog, I don't earn 7 figures and my wife isn't 9.5 out of 10 or above.

im just sad i cant save all the bunnies that'll never know love :(

Congratulations. Since when is being rich important? Who needs a $20 million dollar house? I'll let you into a little secret of the rich. A lot of them are in huge debts. They are living way above their means. Money and fame usually leads to drugs and death. I would rather be poor, healthy, and happy. But yes, I've reached the million dollar club. Still drive an old car and live in an average house. I don't need fancy expensive toys. Actually, regarding the whole world, there are more happy poor people than happy rich people. Count your blessings...

I'm a Sherdogger, basically if I wanted to be poor, I couldn't be.

Made $500k/wk while under 20 and was homeless

I know 2 people who make over 500k a year, and both are miserable. Both work way too hard, way too many hours, and both have health problems. I refuse to golf or fish with either of them. The last golf outing was on a Sunday and we teed off at 7:15 a.m. my buddy was on his blackberry no less than 20 times, all work related. It's a fucking constant with them both.
When I cut the work cord, my life improved tenfold.

Nah man. Just do what makes you happy in life.

I'm fine with having enough to live a healthy, comfortable life in minimalist fashion, and the security of not running out of money even if I live to be 100. I don't crave any kind of luxury or excess.
