    In your eyes?

    Or does it depend?

In my opinion, there is no shame in tapping out. It takes a great deal of mental strength to decide you want out.

Only people that have never rolled in their lives think that.

    So 99% of Sherdog.

Sure... If you're an idiot you might think that.

So a sizable chunk of Sherdog thinks that.

No. If you’ve never been choked and you say yes, please exit the thread. You don’t know what you are talking about then.

I'd challenge one of these fat neckbeards to go to a local judo dojo / BJJ gym / MMA Gym and see how long it takes for them to become a "quitter" lmfao

  10. Why do I have to put a label on it?

    Veiled defense of Connor.

    His tap was legit.

His loss to Nate was a humiliating chain of events, proving Conor could not strike with Nate “that day” and panicked in the cage, leading to the tap.

That is what this thread is about.

People who tap out due to submissions and strikes will always be quitters.

    True warriors go out swinging.

Anyone who thinks having a submission loss is being a quitter is a moron.

Why would a fighter wait until their opponent breaks their arm if they're already in a position where it's impossible to win?

Might as well lose and have everything intact than lose and be out for months and possibly never come back the same just because you wanted to prove how tough you were.

Royce was willing to let Hughes break his arm and Big Nog did just that in the second Mir fight. It's really weird that these guys would let the ego get the better of them rather than admit they lost to a better fighter.

Judo was my first grappling MA. For most people the first time you get osoto gari'd full force is the last time you show up for randori. I imagine for most Sherdoggers it would go exactly like that chubby reporter Ronda, a 135 lb woman, threw once and the dude just laid there crying.

Wee bit different with Royce. He had Grandmaster watching who himself would rather let his arm break than admit defeat to possibly the finest grappler to ever live. No way was Royce going to tap to Matt.

Yes if you let someone lock in a sub on you, you should go out like a man and die.
