Are we turning into a hedonistic society?

When I was growing up, "easy" girls were looked down upon by society. The people who didn't were the guys that wanted to fuck them, but generally never want to settle down and have children with the "Town Bicycle," one of the terms used.

Now if you voice your opinion on denigrating these women, pornstars included, you get called out on social media. "Slut shaming" is what they call it. We have slut parades now. Gay parades where people walk around naked and people doing sex acts in public. A guy was sent to the hospital for trying to fit a fire hydrant up his anus. There's pictures of men performing sex acts on the street while parents look on WITH THEIR CHILDREN. The show called Sex and the City helped in making it societally acceptable for women to sleep with whoever they want and not get any flack. OnlyFans is making it acceptable for your average girl to be a sex worker.

It's 2021. I wonder what it'll be like further down the road. A couple of years ago, it became societally unacceptable to call out children having sex changes. If 6 year olds are deemed mentally and emotionally mature enough to get a sex change operation, it's not a big leap to assume that they can make their own decisions regarding sex.

We also have grown men now wearing little girl clothes in public. Grown women wearing diapers. Girls walking their boyfriends using a leash.

Is a fully hedonistic the end result since we're already seeing a glimpse of it now?

I wouldn't use the word hedonistic as a catch all for this range of topics in the first place so I'm going to say probably not

Also, if you don't want to marry a pornstar or a girl that has slept with a lot of men, you will now get called weird and "insecure."

:eek::eek::eek::eek: If you scared go to church

It all starts with "progressives" who have a total lack of life experience saying things like "why not" to basically every new experience and societal experiment, without realizing that there really is such a thing as a slippery slope.

It started small, but then after a series of further relaxation of social codes of behavior we began to question the concept that marriages needed to be between members of the opposite sex. Then we we began to question the reality of gender when our own DNA no longer suited us. Then we began to attach scarlet letters of public shame to anyone who dared even have an open discussion of the new social experiments. So now what? Marriages between a man and a man seemed outlandish just a short while ago. The idea of a child choosing their own gender seemed outlandish just a couple of years ago. So what's next? Sex with animals? With children?

Time for a moral reset before we all end up in quicksand.

Well let's look at the definition of hedonistic, according to Merriam Webster it means "devoted to the pursuit of pleasure".

I would say we aren't devoted enough to the pursuit of pleasure. That is people who have experienced physical pleasure(sex, food, etc) get entangled in it and never move on to other pleasures. There is the pleasure of learning, the pleasure of warm loving emotions, the pleasure of hard physical activity, the pleasure of seeing something you worked hard for, for years, come to fruition. If we were more devoted to really experiencing all the pleasures a human being can feel, you wouldn't be seeing all this lewdness. What you're really seeing is people who have gotten entangled in their sexuality, they don't know how to deal with it, or it's decline.

Apparently we're supposed to accept this as the new "hot" or we're white supremacists

Lol at this taking pleasure in hard physical activity or the pleasure of learning.

How much pleasure would you estimate she takes in hard physical activity or delaying gratification for future achievements?

Anyway, I agree with much of what you said but you have gone and defined the pursuit of pleasure so broadly that it now includes goal setting. I imagine the idea behind the thread was that society has become more fixated on immediate gratification, the very things you yourself said are receiving undue focus, and which gives us stuff like pretending it's super duper healthy to weigh more than walrus because it's too much work and pain to acknowledge that it might not be healthy to do that.

That's kind of my point, people get entangled in things, they don't experience things and then move on. I don't know that particular person but if I had to guess she is entangled in feminist ideology and her whole life revolves around it.
