Are we going to see more "Spielberg revivalism?"

When talking about Spielberg I feel like this movie gets left out a lot. I really liked it.

As a 42 year old who grew up with this style, I really loved Stranger Things. I was the same age as those kids so all the generational references were not lost on me. It was really fun and creepy as fuck.

I liked that the kid in Stranger Things had a Dark Crystal poster on his wall. It's the little things that make you smirk when watching something like that.

The animated movie Monster House was also very Spielberg and very 80's.
There's been a definite 80's revival in music starting with the post punk revival around 2003, then new wave, shoegazing, and synth and now even 80's sax all popping up on the indie scene. Indie horror and genre films have seen a similar 80's revival as well.

I'd love to see more of his style and those of his pals like Joe Dante, Robert Zemeckis, and others; as well as styles of contemporaries like John Carpenter, John McTiernan, John Landis, Ivan Reitman, etc.

Jaws and Jurassic park will forever be two of my favorite movies ever
