Are UFC crowds more douchey than most sporting event crowds?

I went to my first UFC last weekend and the crowd was super douchey. A lot of them don't seem to be real big fans of the sport, but just want to go because it's the UFC. Many of them would yell things along the lines of,"stop being a bitch you fucking pussy" if the fight slowed down just a bit or if it went to the ground or unless guys were just banging each other's faces in. Many of the people around me were not that familiar with the fighters. Most didn't show up until the main card and some a lot didn't show up until the main events.
It just seemed like a lot of people who attended weren't real fans but just wanted to go because it was a big event and they could post it on the Instagram.

You obviously never been to an NFL game

Yes.

Just look at the dbags who frequent this forum to get an idea

MMA fans are pretentious nerds. What do you fucking expect?

Soccer fans meet up before their teams game and fight each other in massive brawls and then throw explosives on the field of play all while chanting racist slogans but boo hoo a couple MMA fans called someone a pussy so thats worse

Thats like every MMA event bro, not just UFC.

Maybe in Asia where martial arts are actually respected you may not get that as much, but Ive never been to Asia

People who go to UFC events are different from sherdoggers who stream events.

Most people who buy UFC tickets arnt fans..they are people with money who want to do something Saturday night...they probably just know like 2 fighters.

Say what u want about sherdoggers but at least they know who is who.

In the US, yeah, they're all pretty fucking awful, but MMA fans are a little bit worse than average.

Golf seems ok though, I guess. I'm starting to like golf a lot more.

There have been football matches in which hundreds of spectators were killed by each other in full blown riots. Do you even sport bro.

I wish people yelled shit like that on the PGA Tour.

I am in the full belief that most American's are ignorant of the sport and what it really is about. This country is a violent country and the constituents here absolutely love whatever entails from it, which is why they show disdain whenever the fight gets to the ground. Notice the silence from a fight in Japan and the response when a fight goes to the ground. Its night and day between this country and Japan. Will we ever achieve that classy showmanship, i will say convincingly no.

I was at a Raiders/Chargers game once where a guy got stabbed multiple times a few rows behind me.

Compared to those games, UFC fans are fucking gentlemen.

Both the events I went to in Chicago were great crowds. I was expecting a bunch of big dudes in affliction shirts looking to fight. It was the complete opposite

I've seen much more douchery at the NFL games I've been to than the UFC events I've been too.

In Italian soccer they throw Bananas on the field and make monkey noises when a black player has the ball. It also happens in Germany but more in the lower leagues in Italy its in the Serie A.
