Are Today's HWs Really Better than Yesteryear's?

I feel like we are still in the old gen era still for awhile. Right now, only JDS, Cormier, and Cain have emerged. There was a short spurt with Carwin and Lesnar but they faded fast.

Altogether I think the older gen looks more stacked with depth. I think it isn't fair to compare yet though. There still is a lot of time for a top HW to burst of the scene.
 
Prime Fedor and Nog would do quite well. Prime Crocop would do well against majority of the strikers.
 
Coleman moved in slow motion compared to Cain.

Cain vs prime Coleman would be a wrestling match more or less with heavy ground and pound and some submission attempts mixed in by both. Strengthwise the jacked prime Coleman - until 2000 - was on the same level, maybe even more powerful than Cain.

Cain has an advantage striking however and in the clinch
