I think they'll want some fighters with some Mexican connections to headline Noche and Yair is the only one you can squint a bit and slot in for a title shot. Even with the last Noche event they played up Merab & O'Malley's supposed connections to Mexico lol.

Total BS though, it should be Evloev getting the shot. Volk wants it, that's the fight to make.

Don't think they would have Ankalaev vs Pereira 2 headline Noche unless they are absolutely backed into a corner. Ultimately they can headline with just about anything though as long as they stack the card with a solid amount of Mexican fighters.

Volk definitely has lost a step or 2. Yeah he beat Lopes but he looked really bad in that win. Slower. Can't eat a punch the same. That unbreakable swagger he once had is gone. Looks like damaged goods. Yair thought keeps looking better. Even in his losses he still looks good.

The UFC isn't even attempting to hide it nowadays. If they don't like you, your fighting style, your face, or whatever, they skip you over, ignore you, and gaslight the fanbase that the Covington/Yair is the rightful #1 contender.

Yair lost (TKO & SUB) to Volk and Ortega, wins 1 (Dec) to Pitbull, he doesn’t deserve shiiitttttt. Let him fight Diego in Noche.

Better yet turn Noche into a Fight Night and have that main event, apparently the arena they want to use still hasn't even been built yet so the location will most likely be moved anyway.
Instead make a PPV in Australia in September, especially since you now have 2 Australian champions.
