Are the spider guard and scissor guard the same?

When I trained at x3 in ATL it was the spider guard but here in Augusta they call it the scissor guard is it the same or different.

I've never heard of the spider guard called the scissor guard. I've heard Z guard called scissor guard though.

I have also never heard of spider guard being synonymous with scissor guard. Scissor generally makes me think of the leg position in a traditional scissor sweep or possibly a Z half guard.

That's what I thought maybe I heard wrong I'll pay more attention next time. I love the spider guard tho so many different sweeps.
