Are some people better off being permanently drugged up?

I think for many people, living short lives high af is better than living long, painful lives full of nothing but suffering.

Of course for most people this isn’t the case, but for many, they’re better off going out sooner and at least enjoying the much shorter trip.

A lot of the time the pain is self-inflicted though. Often the initial pain wasn't self-inflicted, for example having neglectful parents or growing up in a bad neighbourhood. However the person chooses to continue the pain by locking themselves in a victimhood narrative and wallowing in self-pity and self-imposed barriers. "Everything is terrible, my entire people are oppressed, nobody is paying attention to my pain, I'm not able to do X and Y (but not seriously trying either)", etc. Remove the victim mindset, replace it with a go-getter attitude and persistence, and most of those barriers fall quite easily. If the person is high all the time they'll never learn anything. A lot of them never learn and they choose to remain in the "comfortable" familiarity of their narratives, even if those narratives are bad for them, but some of them do transcend them.

Yea i know many people who are on constant heavy pain meds due to injuries, especially back injuries

Also street kids living in sewers back in day were sure as shit better off on drugs (which they were)

I think people can last at least 5 years. And substances are relatively cheap. That’s especially true of Alcohol.

Yeah, except some of them crash their cars into the rest of us, rob stores, kill and thieve.

How about:
Many people would be best done away with, because they are miserable and make others miserable, too.

If you can work your job, before going home to harmlessly and peacefully get high all night and not procreate, fine.

Some old people live a really miserable life. The little joy they have is from their drugs.
