Are JDS vs Velasquez 2 and 3 the biggest display of chin and heart we´ve seen in the UFC?

Thoughts?

Got to watch Cain beat the Prime right out of JDS. Junior is tough as hell and a lesser man would have broke sooner in both of those fights.

Yeh . Stipe v hunt is the most lopsided statistical fight in UFC history as well and could be a domination. But in terms of a beatdown, Cain put it on jds

Cote taking a flying knee from Silva and giving zero fucks was pretty crazy

My first thought was hunt. Against bigfoot especially.

Also Hendo vs Shogun.

Robbie lawler and Rory.

But yea JDS vs Cain is right up there.

UFC version of Fedor vs Cro Cop. Both guys took tons of damage and years out of each other. JDS' chin was no longer the same.

Did you see Fedor vs Cro Cop?

Tried to come up with a better example... but yeah i guess you are right.

JDS must've suffered some serious brain damage during those fights. It's pretty sad.

Shogun vs Hendo was God level

Hunt vs TRT Bigfoot 1 was one of my favorite hw fights of all time

Hunt didn't give up in that one.. His bleach blonde wig turned red, took an ungodly amount of punishment from a roided up Silva, and kept throwing 'till the end

I was literally off my seat for that fight and could not believe it. Dana had Hunt vs. Bigfoot II t-shirts made, and that was just an all out war

I'm going with that one

It's disgraceful that his corner didn't throw the towel in the third fight

Jds vs Nelson or carwin maybe
Jim miller vs lauzon 1

Idk about the "heart" part.

When I think of "heart" I think of a guy who keeps fighting through adversity, JDS was basically a punching bag for the entirety of those fights. Chin for sure, but something about a fight where a guy gets battered the entire fight without ever offering serious resistance doesn't really exemplify what I think "heart" is or should be.

I thought he gave all he had and was still swinging and throwing punches with the little energy he had.

Take a look, 4th round, he is still throwing. Timestamped just the best moments.
