Are Bellator using the De La Hoya strategy to book Daley vs MVP?

You guys know the De La Hoya strategy. Let a fight simmer and marinade so that it can be as big as possible once it actually happens ala Canelo vs GGG.

Is this what Bellator is doing with Daley vs MVP?

Seems like they will make Daley vs MVP if Daley gets through Fitch and VP gets through Rickels.

Nah.. they just can't make it happen for whatever reason.

Fitch is too dangerous of an opponent to give Daley to let it simmer.

The time is right and the location was right and instead they put out MVP vs Rickells.

Maybe they will both keep winning but Daley seems to want out so its just a fight that we MMA will seemingly be deprived of watching.

They probably have plans for Koreshkov and a loss would fuck that up IF for some reason Daley pulled it off. If Fitch loses it's probably a nothing lost/nothing gained perspective.
