Are all the critiques to Khabib's performance just trolls?

Khabib 50-43'd a guy who beat Masvidal standing up. Al would be a fringe top 5 guy if he were more active. Not only that, he was postured up the entirety of the fight to defend the takedown, which Khabib punished with the jab.

Thought he showed great versatility and looked like a destroyer against a really good opponent from a strong wrestling camp. Don't worry, he'll still smash everyone (Except maybe Tony).

No, score cards are deceptive, truth is he struggled after round 2 and his stand-up defense was terrible which he already knew but even his take-down ability declined after 2 rounds.

Khabib's performance last night makes him now even more scary.

yes all of conor blind followers are calling khabib what ever they can and not face it that khabib is just that good.

I think some are disappointed Tony fans. Which is understandable.

Alot of people have no idea what they saw. Or the ability to reasonably look at any of the reasons for why it played out like it did.

Most of the people shitting on it are Convict McGregor nut huggers though. There is no doubt about that at all.

He had al's back a few times and couldnt finish.
used his freak strength and grip to pick al up to get him down and looked less scary when he didnt have the stamina for this.
Looked bad on stand up again unsuprisingly.

His hype has gone a bit over the top imho, Tonys and Conor are far more fun to watch and more well rounded than khabib.

conor gassed in 2 rounds against Diaz, 4 against Floyd.

Aldo gassed in every title fight in the 4th round.

not every champ is a conditioning freak.

khabib did enough damage in 2 rounds that he could coast the rest.

dude was throwing double and triple jabs in the 4th round. 0 fear or respect for his opponent

Nah, Khabib just set really high expectations for himself with the beat downs of Barboza and MJ so people were expecting him to easily finish Al. That expectation only grew with the vicious beating he put on Al in the first two rounds so to see him slow down a bit and whiff on some takedowns in the 3rd and 4th and ultimately win a decision instead of getting the finish was a little disappointing given what we saw he could do earlier.

My eyes must be deceptive too. In fact the entire fight must have been an illusion. Because the scorecards and the strike stats match the exact same fight I was watching.

Conor who fans who think he is horrible but at the same time think he should smash everyone within a round.

The narrative changes depending on how much they want to defend their god.

Al didnt beat Masvidal standing. Why do people keep saying that?

I didn't find his performance particularly impressive after round 2. Chin way up, slowed down considerably, sloppy & telegraphed takedown attempts. He landed a lot of jabs when Iaquinta was literally doing nothing to avoid them. I think Tony beats the Khabib that fought last night. So does Gaethje and Alvarez.

Trolls? I think they're fucking morons. I'm not sure people realize Iaquinta wasn't the only one facing someone on short notice.... SO WAS KHABIB! Trained for Ferguson, then got Holloway, then got Pettis? Felder? and finally Al Iaquinta... All I've seen here is people trashing Khabib for not getting a finish because he didn't KO Iaquinta who fought him on one days notice. Don't act like Khabib had a full training camp focusing on nothing but Iaquinta's style, considering all that drama leading up to the fight, all the potential match-up changes... Great performance from Khabib, completely dominant.

Not trolls, just haters that are ecstatic about him not being perfect.

You can really identify the lazy minds on this forum by seeing who makes the 'X beats Khabib because Khabib has these holes' argument considering that every 'X' who's likely to fight Khabib has more exploitable and bigger holes than Khabib himself.

Yes, Khabib is not a technical striker.

No, Conor isn't going to be able to stop Khabib's takedowns or last past the early rounds for that to matter.

He showed vulnerabilities that a better, more prepared fighter might be able to take advantage of

Apologizies if discussing that triggers you

Hilarious they say his stand up is terrible, but he won 2 rounds that were all stand up. He looks like a goof, but nearly nothing was landing on his face.

He did his thing for 2 rounds, then he gassed, his single legs didn't work and he looked like shit. He had no plan B.

Al was solely concerned with the takedown, he felt Khabib's jab and it was nothing so he chose to eat it in order to keep Khabib standing and in hope of a good counter. He never got a good enough counter to start putting Khabib away so Khabib won fair and square. But against a guy outside the top 10 who was preparing for a 3 rounder, he looked underwhelming.

Everybody with a clue watching that fight saw his poor striking tendencies. Wild. No technique. Walking backwards with chin up. Conor would put him away. Max would put him away. Even Nate would put him away. There is a reason they kept switching opponents, they badly want him to be champ for money reasons and they were desperately trying to find someone he could beat.

Max was pulled for absolutely no reason. Think about that. UFC gave him the call because they expected he would struggle on such short notice, they expected him to miss weight and to be drained in the fight. Then they saw how in shape he looked, how easy his cut was going. They panicked and bribed the commission to pull him for NO REASON. No doctors, no hydration test, nothing. Just pulled him because they knew he would destroy Khabib.

when people say that khabib, the least hit man at LW, has terrible defense, then you know they're trolling.

Oh jeez, here we go lol.

Anyways, I hope Conor gets into the octagon to face him with those exact same thoughts.
